| Chorleywood v Berkhamstead | 22/05/08 |
|---|---|
|
Berkhamstead 77 all out 5pts Catches win matches and the Chorleywood fielding in support of the 2 young leg spinners, Andy Dunning 4-11 and Josh Bungard 3-8 decided this fixture, the one handed diving effort from Pete Sinderbury being the best. With Extras continuing and excellent season in games against The Wood ( 30 this time) the total of 77 could have been a problem and Berkhamsteads Barnett with 2-9 kept up the pressure but Jamie Smithson and Andy Dunning saw the home team through with an unbeaten 42 run partnership. |

| Bushey v Chorleywood | 11/05/08 |
|---|---|
The Chorleywood U15s bounced back from defeat against Hemel with a convincing win at Bushey on Sunday. Batting first the total of 79 was built around 20 from skipper Andrew Dunning and 17 from Vikash Patel. The Woods main strength is in their bowling and they opened up with 2 quick bowlers Jamie Smithson and Pete Sinderberry, they restricted the runs and Smithson ripped out the key Bushey batsmen bowling his 4 overs taking 2 for 6. Chorleywood then turned to their 2 leg spinners, Andy Dunning and Josh Bungard, they tied up the batsmen in knots taking 4 wickets between them for 19 runs and a fine performance in the field was rounded off by Nathan Hawker with 1 for 12 completing a deserved 23 run victory. |

| Hemel Hempstead v Chorleywood | 07/05/08 |

Hemel Hempstead 175-2 v Chorleywood 21 On a beautiful sunny evening at Hemel, an under-strength Chorleywood side were no match for the home side. After winning the toss and batting, Hemel captain, Jay O'Nien saw off the early threat of the dangerous Smithson (4-0-13-1) to retire on 52, whereupon his brother, Luke (40 not out) and batting partner Paul Mackie (44 not out), continued the onslaught. Mackie's score included 5 sixes. 175-2 was a daunting target. Chorleywood got off to the worst of starts, finding themselves 6 for 6 after 5 overs as Jack Doodson (3-1-1-4) and Rakeeb Ahmed (3-0-5-2) ripped into the batting line-up. With 2 wickets for Dan Turbutt reducing the visitors to 13 for 9, an early finish looked likely but 6 overs of stout resistance from Prior and Rose, deferred the inevitable, until Wesley Mito took his first wicket for Hemel to finish the game. Chorleywood will be hoping for better availability next week. |
